RECYCLING SOLUTIONS

Recycled materials are typically understabilized, leading to poor quality recycled resin.
Dover Chemical has developed solutions to increase the quality of the resin, leading to more inclusion of recycle streams into higher-quality applications. We have solutions across a broad spectrum of recycle streams, including polyolefins, PET, and PVC.

Hordaflam resinous chlorinated alkanes when used in combination with antimony oxide, is an effective flame retardant for polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, and polyurethane.
Paroil® liquid chlorinated alkanes can be used to flame retard polyvinyl chloride and polyurethanes. In addition to providing flame retardancy, they also act as secondary plasticizers.
Hordaflam and Paroil® products can also be considered as cost effective alternatives for brominated flame retardants in polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, and polyurethane.
